What skills and abilities are needed to realize yourself in this profession?
Clarity Ukraine has a strong team of ERP developers who help to customize Business Central to meet specific customer requirements.
During our many years of practice, we have identified the following characteristics and skills that are necessary to successfully realize your potential in this profession:
Development in Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV is impossible without knowledge of C/AL and experience in AL development.
You will need a certain level of proficiency with analysis tools such as SSRS, SSIS, SSAS Cubes, and Power BI, as well as web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).
In addition, the developer often needs to analyze the customer’s technical requirements and determine the scope of modifications and custom development in conjunction with an ERP consultant.
At Clarity, we strengthen our knowledge and skills through new training programs, Microsoft certifications, and knowledge-sharing with partners. To follow the best development practices within the team, we willingly share our experiences and involve junior developers in projects under the mentorship of more experienced ones.
We asked our Dev Team Lead, Oleksiy Kramarenko, what qualities and knowledge he values in candidates and what principles he uses to build a team.
“I value the motivation of candidates and employees, their ability to work independently on training materials, awareness of the prospects of the profession. And the most important thing – is the willingness to become a professional in customizing a modern international ERP system to meet customer requirements. Of course, it’s great if a candidate has programming experience in C, Python, R, and other languages. It often happens that programming is not only a job for a candidate, but also a hobby, and therefore a favorite pastime, sometimes since childhood.
In addition to modifying the Business Central ERP system itself, we work with many products from the Microsoft ecosystem and beyond. For a developer, this means, first of all, a lot of interesting tasks related to integrations, which adds a lot of variety to the tasks, but also requires relevant knowledge and constant development.
I appreciate the team interaction, the free exchange of knowledge, and the common goal: to do our work efficiently and on time, which is the key to successful implementations. The company’s development team is constantly growing, while the number of Ukrainian and international projects is increasing. Our working format is remote, which is quite convenient in terms of work-life balance. Speaking of international projects, intermediate+ English is a basic requirement for comfortable work.
So, if our working style appeals to you, welcome to the team and check out our current vacancies”.
