Let’s take a look at an example of how different Microsoft applications naturally integrate to create new opportunities to improve business efficiency.
Using the example of approving leave in Business Central with Power Automate and MS365 Forms, we automate this process and make it convenient and native for users. This saves time for both the HR department and the employee, as they only need to fill in a leave form, and the rest of the process is automated by Power Automate and Business Central.
After submitting the form, the approver receives an automatically generated letter with the employee’s leave request. If the request is approved, a leave order is automatically created in the system and the employee receives a letter notifying him or her of the approval or rejection of the leave. Convenient and fast, with just a few clicks, you have automated the HR leave management process.

No-code implementations
And for the convenience of the HR department in your company, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 application ecosystem has a lot of potential for no-code implementations of interesting tasks. For example, with the help of Virtual Power Agents (now Microsoft Copilot Studio), you can create your chatbots in Teams. This comes in handy when you need to free up time to prepare responses, verify information, and relieve your team of these tasks.
For one of our customers, we created a chatbot in Teams that can natively and quickly answer the user’s question about how many days of paid leave they have left. All you have to do is type /vacation and the bot will pull the latest data from Business Central and display it in the response.
The scope of the chatbot application can be quite broad and is not limited to the HR function. If there is a task that requires providing the user with any information that is stored in BC and the user does not need a report in a specific format, we can count on a chatbot. For example:
- “What is the debt of supplier A?”;
- “How many days of vacation do I have left?”;
- “How much of product A is in warehouse B?
A chatbot can provide all this information. If you have any questions about key features of Power Automate or chatbots in Teams, feel free to drop us a line: hello@clarity-team.com
